Khushi NGO Helps Nisha Pursue Her Dream Career

Twenty-three year old Nisha lives with her parents and younger brother in the Devli village area, Delhi. Her father, who works as a plumber, places great emphasis on education. Worried by her initial lack of performance, he enrolled Nisha with Khushii's Shikshantra program in 2009. Misha's hard work, combined with the Shikshantra team's innovative learning tools and regular extra classes bore sweet fruit. She cleared Class X with a whopping score of 86%, and her class XII with 68% marks.

Nisha aspired to pursue a career in medical sciences, but the high cost of education was simply out of her father's reach. Nisha got continuous support from team Khushii and from the Royal Bank of Scotland's DISHA. She soon got admitted in the renowned Jamia Hamdard University. She completed her graduation in Emergency and Trauma, specialising as an Emergency Medical Technician, and intends to study further and has also applied for an MSc degree.
